Introduction
In a place ruled by the Enderdragon and its army of endermen, evil spreads pixel by pixel over the land of The End. It is starting to creep out of strong holds, into the overworld. The Enderdragon is sending out its army to come and kill you. You can feel it. It's time to face the Enderdragon.
Chapter One: Eye Of Ender
Steve woke up, still drowsy with sleep. He could hear the creeper on the roof. Pit, pat, pit, pat. “You darn creeper!” Steve yelled.
He jumped on the roof, punched it, and ran away as fast as he could. “So much for waking up.” he muttered.
Steve heard a rather large “BOOM” next to him. “DAD! WAS IT THAT CREEPER AGAIN?!”shouted Penny, Steve's daughter.
She fumed next to her cobblestone house 5 blocks away from Steve's. There was a rather large, gaping hole in the side of her house. “Creeper found ya'?” Steve asked, quite amused.
Penny came up and hit Steve with a piece of cobblestone and went back to repairing her house. “That's what you get, Dad!” Penny called.
“Penny, just WHAT did you do to your roof? It looks like it's been blown up by a creeper!” said Mrs. Bedrock, Steve's wife.
“In fact, it HAS been blown up by a creeper, Mom.” Penny said. “And it’s all Dad’s fault!”
Penny went back to repairing her house. “Have you seen an endermen lately?” he asked. “I saw one by the birch tree last night.”
“One picked up my bed” said Penny. “While I was sleeping in it!”
“One teleported inside my house yesterday” said Mrs. Bedrock.
“It's getting out of control,” said Penny. “We need to go to the Nether soon.”
“Why, Penny? Can't we just use our ender pearls?,” asked Steve.
“We need to go to the Nether so we can get blaze powder,” said Penny. “I read in the book that if you craft ender pearls and blaze powder you can get eyes of ender that show you where the nearest stronghold is! And you also have to have them to complete the End portal. So then we can kill the Enderdragon!”
“That's my Penny!,” said Mrs. Bedrock. “Always so smart!”
“Isn’t that dangerous?” Steve almost said, but restrained himself. Steve agreed that they had to put an end (no pun intended) to the Endermen and Enderdragon.
“Dad, pour some water over that lava pit so we can make obsidian and I'll get my diamond pickaxe.” ordered Penny.
Awhile later Penny mined enough obsidian for a portal and Steve started assembling it. “One there, another there, and finished!,” Steve stood back and admired his work.
Steve paused and there was silence. “Why isn't there a weird sound and purple swirly thingy?”
“Dad, you forgot to light it!,” reminded Penny. She took out her flint and steel and lit it herself. “There we go,” she said. “Let's do this!”
“One, two, three, JUMP!,” they all said together. Then they jumped in. Their vision started to blur, and then everything went black.
Chapter 2: Into the Nether
"Penny? Mary? Are you there?," Steve woke up to find himself lying on a piece of netherack.
"We're here!," Penny and Mrs. Bedrock chorused.
"Whew, I though I lost you to the ghasts for sure!," Steve said. Suddenly, they all heard a sound somewhat like a baby.
"Speaking of ghasts, let's get out of here!," Penny said and took off running.
Steve and Mrs. Bedrock ran after her and arrived safely at their Nether house made of soul sand, netherack and glowstone. Steve, in past visits, covered it in odsidian to make it ghast-proof. They heard an explosion outside. “And the floating baby blows her diaper again!" said Penny and everyone laughed.
Penny laid out the plan for getting the blaze rods necessary for the eyes of ender. "First we go find a netherbrick fortress. Second, we split up and find blazes. We will need about 14 blaze powder and since each blaze rod gives two blaze powder, that’s seven blazes or more. Try to kill as many as you can. We can bring extra back to make extra eyes or make potions." Steve and Mrs. Bedrock nodded.
“We can locate the portal through our Nether maps so no one will get lost. Also notice that blazes are not the only dangerous mobs here!," Penny finished and another BOOM! was heard outside.
"Everyone ready?," Steve asked. Steve, Penny, and Mrs. Bedrock all nodded. "Then let the blaze killing begin!," Steve said and ran outside to be greeted by yet another flaming bomb.
"Could someone kill that thing?," He asked and took off sprinting, hoping he would not end up as burnt ghast toast.
Chapter 3: The Great Blaze Attack
Team Bedrock (as they called themselves) quickly located a netherbrick fortress split up. Penny couldn’t help but notice the sparkly ores everywhere. She mined some and it seemed they were called “nether quartz”. Hmm, she hadn’t remembered there being there being any ores the last time she was in the Nether. The world they were in was strange, it was always changing. Penny decided not to over think it and continued to look for a blaze spawner. She soon heard the metallic sounds and fire crackling from a room up ahead. She quickly changed into her diamond gear and took her diamond enchanted sword out. There was something orange and shiny and made of glass in her inventory. Of course! It was her fire resistance potion. She thanked the sun and moon for it and drank it. Good, she could last for eight minutes. Penny shoved a porkchop in her mouth and launched into battle.
Penny saw not only blazes, but black skeletons. Wait, skeletons in the Nether? Penny did a double take. She killed one and received a piece of coal and a Wither Skeleton head. A Wither Skeleton? Penny shook her head and turned to the blazes above the blaze spawner. They were angry and flaming and shooting fire balls at her, which quickly disappeared as soon as they hit. She jumped and slashed at them, killing them easily. When Penny finally had ten blaze rods, she ran away down the netherbrick fortress hall and into the open. The ends of her singed brown hair swished behind her. She quickly ate some bread and went back to the portal. Steve and Mrs. Bedrock were already there. "How did you guys beat me?" Penny asked, panting.
Steve shrugged. "I guess I just got lucky. I only got 20 blaze rods." Steve said smugly and held them out. Penny's mouth hung open.
"20?! I only got ten! How did you do it faster than me and get more rods?" Penny raged. Steve pulled out his shining diamond sword. It had a sparkly glow around it.
"Sharpness level five." he said and hit a zombie pigman with his sword, killing it instantly. Penny facepalmed and waited a few seconds. Steve quickly got swarmed with angry zombie pigmen. Mrs. Bedrock took her special bow out and shot the pigmen, saving Steve.
"Half a heart, half a heart!" Steve gasped and fell over. Mrs. Bedrock quickly threw a health potion on him and Steve became strong again.
"Steve, don't be so bold! You could have died!" Mrs. Bedrock scolded him. "And don't boast either. Be mindful of those who has less. I got only 9." Steve hung his head and muttered "sorry".
"Anyway, we should go back now.” Penny said.
